Namaskar, I belong to the state where chhatrapati shivaji maharaj was born.

                     Maharashtra is a state where people from different religions lives in harmony together. whether it is Hindus, Muslims , Sikhs, Christians and other all these religions with their different cultures living together all festivals are celebrated  such as  Diwali, Eid,  gudipadwa, pola, Dussehra , Navratri and Ganesh utsav is one of Maharashtras most celebrated  and favorite festivals  just around the corner. This year the festival of ganesh chaturthi will be celebrated on August 31. The ten days long festival begins setting up of beautifuly chiseled and colorfully decorated ganesh idols in homes and at mandaps. Bappa is worshipped in the morning and evening with offering of flowers , durva and favorite of bappa Modak.                                                There are many temples in Maharashtra , some of which are thousands years of old.   These temples are constructed in fusion of architectural styles .   The temples also blend themes from hindu, buddhist and Jain cultures. The temple of lord vitthal at pandharpur is most important temple for the varkari sampraday. Other important relogios places are the shegaon of Gajanan maharaj and shirdi of Sai Baba. Trimbakeshwar (Nashik) which one of the jyotirling. 
                       I am from vidharbha (Amaravti) vidharbha is a part of Maharashtra, The amaravti region is known for growing oranges and cotton.   In vidharbha cuisine include mild and spicy dishes.
